Maple Valley student pages in state House of Representatives

Joshua Curry sponsored by Rep. Jay Rodne
Joshua Curry, a ninth-grade student from Rainier Christian High School, served as a page in the state House of Representatives March 4-8. He was sponsored by Rep. Jay Rodne, R-North Bend.
The House Page Program offers students a unique educational opportunity to participate in the legislative process and get an up-close look at the Legislature. Page duties vary from ceremonial tasks, such as presenting the flags, to operational chores like distributing amendments and other documents around the Capitol campus.
Joshua, 14, is the son of Angie and Shannon Curry of Maple Valley.
Young men and women have come to Olympia to serve as pages for the Washington State Legislature since 1891. For more information about the House Page Program, go to: http://www.leg.wa.gov/House/Pages/HousePageProgram.aspx.
